Colt “AUTHENTIC BLACK POWDER SERIES” scarce 1862 Pocket Navy .36 caliber percussion revolver. This is one of the beautifully Colt fit and finished revolvers that are now long discontinued and difficult to locate. Only 5,281 1862 Pocket Navy models were produced between December of 1979- November of 1981. They were produced in the serial number range of 48000 to 58850, making this one of the very first produced. Additionally, the 1862 Pocket Model was produced in less numbers than the other percussion models that are occasionally encountered. This model is also referred to as the “Pocket Model of Navy Caliber.” The serial number on this new and unused very early Colt is 48348. It comes in its original numbered to match Colt Box with Colt Instruction manual, Colt authorized repair service stations brochure, “The Colt Companion” brochure, warranty card and the full color “Authentic Colt Black Powder Series” brochure. Amazingly, it also still retains the attached hang tag and original plastic covering to the revolver as originally shipped by Colt! Absolutely new with unturned cylinder, this gorgeous revolver displays perfect roll engraving on the cylinder, vivid case colors on the loading lever, hammer and frame, matching serial numbers, bright original blue on the 5 ½” barrel and cylinder, plated grip straps, full finished walnut grips and box with correct numbered end label, all in fine condition with original form fitting foam inside.
