Featured in this lot is a Colt made Damascus bowie knife with antler grips and leather sheath. The knife displays a Damascus steel blade inlayed with brass designs, brass guard, and antler handle grip. The blade displays a clip point style bowie design made with sections of Damascus; it also displays fifteen brass rods inlayed in the blade. The blade is marked on the left side, reading "Colt (R) Since 1836". The guard shows layered brass construction with filed designs across the sides. The handle is constructed from 12 sections of antlers set with brass pins horizontally across the coffin style handle. The blade and grip display hand tooled vine file patterns. The knife comes with a custom leather sheath with a stamped image of a rearing horse. The knife shows good condition overall, with some wear due to age and use. The knife measures 13 3/4" long, with the blade being 9" long.
