Featured in this lot we have a Colt Model 1908 semi auto hammerless pocket pistol chambered in .380 cal. The pistol was manufactured in 1933 by the Colt Manufacturing Company. The pistol features a semi automatic hammerless design with a 3 3/4" long barrel, checkered wood grips, Colt medallions, 7 round detachable magazine, and blue'd finish. The model 1908 hammerless pocket pistol is a variant of the Colt model 1903 with the primary difference of the M1908 firing .380 ACP rather than the M1903's .32 ACP. The Colt Pocket Hammerless pistols were produced from 1903 till 1945 and were used by both the US army and navy through WWII until the 1970's when they were replaced by the Colt M15. The pistol is marked across the right side reading "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS" with the left marked "COLT'S PTFA MFG CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. PATENTED APR. 20. 1897. DEC. 22. 1903.". Both grips show a circular Colt medallion with the colt horse logo and the Colt horse on the left side of the slide. The pistol shows wonderful condition with little to no wear across the piece. The pistol weighs 1lbs 8oz. Serial Number: 113816. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
