Offered for sale is an early rare Colt Open Top Pocket Model .22 Caliber Spur Trigger revolver. The rare revolver shows the two line Hartford Colt address on the top of the barrel. The revolver features a seven shot cylinder, brass frame, and 2 1/4" barrel. The piece shows walnut grip set on the brass frame. The brass frame is marked with an upside down "22 CAL" on the left side. After a short period, the .22 was redesigned and the ejector housing was omitted. Eventually, the high hammer profile was replaced with a lower profile. This revolver is in good condition for its age, with wear particularly across the barrel, cylinder, and a small crack on the frame near the hammer. A light patina is present on the brass frame, dark bore, working action, visible markings, and good grips. Serial Number: 22318.
