For your consideration is a Colt Pocket Model 1849 .31 caliber revolver circa 1862. This percussion revolver is chambered in .31 caliber and utilizes a 5” octagonal barrel. The brass frame of this revolver shows wonderful yellow coloring and some slight oxidation where the walnut grips touch. The factory engraved stagecoach scene shows crisp detail and matching serial number. The top of the barrel has a one line address stamped “Address Col Saml. Colt New York U.S. America”. The left of the frame is struck “Colt’s Patent”. The firearm shows all matching serial numbers throughout the revolver and a manufacture date of 1862. Serial Number: 215961. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
