The left of the frame is stamped “Pat. Sept. 19. 1871. July 2. 72. Jan. 19. 75.” The firearm is fitted with plastic stag antler style grips, which are loosely fit. Serial numbers are marked as such: bottom of grips “206793”, bottom of trigger guard frame “206793”, on the frame “282744”, and on the loading gate “4364”. The manufacture of the firearm is between 1901 and 1906. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. The hammer pulls back with three clicks, the first click setting the trigger forward (and allowing the hammer to stop at this place), the next click rotating the cylinder and pushing up the lug that holds the cylinder (the hammer does not hold in this spot by itself), and the third click locking the cylinder in place and holding the hammer back where it is now ready to fire, along with finishing setting of the trigger. When the trigger is pulled it releases the hammer.
