Offered for sale is a Colt “The Woodsman” .22 Long Rifle first series semi-automatic pistol with leather holster. The pistol features a 6 5/8" barrel, ten round magazine, walnut checkered wood grips, and adjustable sights. The Colt Woodsman is a semi-automatic sporting pistol manufactured by the American Colt's Manufacturing Company from 1915 to 1977. It was designed by John Moses Browning. The frame design changed over time, in three distinct series: series one being 1915–1941, series two 1947–1955, and series three being 1955–1977. The top of the barrel is stamped “Colt’s PT.F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. PAT’D DEC. 22. 1903. AUG. 27.1918. SEPT. 3. 1918”. The left of the frame is additionally marked “The Woodsman” and “Colt Automatic Cal. .22 Long Rifle”. The pistol features a good bore, excellent condition of the bluing, and overall good condition. The leather holster shows good condition and patina on the brass clasp.
