For your consideration is a Colt U.S. Army Model 1894 DA .38 caliber six shot revolver in a rare second year of production circa 1895 well preserved collector age. This gorgeous firearm utilizes a 6” round blue’d barrel and frame. The top of the barrel is fixed with a blade front sight and reads “COLT’S PT F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. PATENTED AUG.5.1884 NOV.6.88. MAR.5.96.” The left of the barrel is also marked “COLT D.A. 38”. This firearm is chambered in .38 caliber. The left of the frame is stamped "R.A.C." The Model 1894 was designed to handle black powder cartridges only. Overall the revolver shows very good condition for the age and operates as intended. Matching numbers ("3199") on the barrel, frame, crane, cylinder and cylinder latch. The firearm is fit with hardwood walnut grips. Serial Number: 63199.
