For your consideration is an original water color painting titled "War Dancer" by Leonard Riddles 1918-2003. Leonard Riddles, known as Black Moon, was an internationally known artist, painting and sketching the Indian way of life. Many of his paintings hang in permanent collections around the world. This piece is of a Comanche war dancer showing wonderful colors and details consistent with the artist's style. There is an artists hand written signature "Black Moon 1971" in the lower left corner. On the reverse of the frame is a Universities Art Galleries label from the University of South Dakota detailing information about the artwork. This is also handwritten on the back of the frame. The visible art is shown in an oval shape and measures approximately 8.5x11.5" and the frame measures 13x17".
