Featured in this lot is this Commercial cast iron ice tongs circa 19th century. The ice tongs feature a wonderfully and professionally crafted cast iron construction that uses leverage to grip to a block of ice, a favorite of meat factories and beverage companies such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi. The condition of this collection of ice tongs is well preserved with some oxidation to the tongs consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of the collection of ice tongs is 13 3/4" x 6 1/2" and 15 1/2" x 7 3/8". The collective weight of this collection of ice tongs is 2lb 8oz.
