The book is a comprehensive and connected account of the Great California Earthquake. The earthquake occurred in the early morning of 1906 and destroyed over 80% of the city and surrounding area. The quake killed and injured thousands and left most of the city without food. The book contains numerous black and white photos of the damage and city. The piece shows good condition overall, with some light wear across the piece. The book measures 9 1/4" tall by 6 3/4" wide.
