Featured in this lot is this County Map of England/ Wales and British Islands and the North Sea maps circa 1860. There are two maps in this collection. The first map is County Map of England and Wales and was entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1860 by S. Augustus Mitchell Jr. in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the U.S. for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; this is a hand colored map with outlines of borders and key points on the map. The second map is is a fold out map of The British Islands and the North Sea that was drawn by Edw. Weller E.R.G.S. - Blackie & Sons Glasgow, Edinburgh & London - Engraved by by Edw. Weller, Red Lion Square. The condition of this of these two maps is preserved with some browning to the pages consistent with the age and some staining to the bottom of the single page map from exposure. The measurements of the single page map is 15 1/2" x 12 5/8" and the fold out map measures 15" x 22".
