Offered in this lot is an Original Framed Signed Pastel of, "Couple Moët & Chandon Champagne", the 1986 acclaimed Promotional poster for Moët & Chandon Champagne, in the Belle Epoque style, in which we see a couple in evening dress with a glass and a bottle of champagne. The pastel is signed June Nichols in the lower right corner. In the 1980s, renowned illustrator and successful artist Vince McIndoe was commissioned by the Champagne house to design a number of promotional posters. He was inspired by the great poster artists of the turn of the century such as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Jules Chéret to evoke the impressive history of the party drink. Nichols captures the flair and refinement of McIndoe's masterpiece with her use of vibrant colours. This original pastel is in excellent condition, the hardwood frame is in good overall condition, no obvious marring noted. Visible art measures 11.5"W x 15.5"L, frame is 16"W x 20"L
