Featured in this lot is this Crawford Co., Wisconsin Apple Creek point aged 1,700 - 1,500 and from Middle to Late Woodland period. This is a small triangular expanding stem point with elliptical cross section and a slightly excurvate blade. The shoulders are barbed and the stem shows slightly expanding and concave base. The point was napped from white flint material construction. This point shows a Bennett's Artifact Authentication certificate; Bennett works with the Ancient artifact division of Premiere Auctions Group and has been involved in ancient Indian artifacts for over 25 years as a collector, dealer, and authenticator. The Bennett's Artifact Authentication Encoded Certificate Number is: 07H5R57. The condition of this point is good, with a slight chip to one of the point flares. The measurements of this point are 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 1/4".
