Featured in this lot is this Crawford Co., Wisconsin Cupp cluster point, aged 1,300 - 600 B.P. and from Mississippian - Prehistoric period. The point shows narrow medium corner notch point with an elliptical cross section; the blade shows a slightly excurvate blade, which has been serrated. The stem is short with an expanding base and is convex. The point is napped from pink chert material construction. This point shows a Bennett's Artifact Authentication certificate; Bennett works with the Ancient artifact division of Premiere Auctions Group and has been involved in ancient Indian artifacts for over 25 years as a collector, dealer, and authenticator. The Bennett's Artifact Authentication Encoded Certificate Number is: 08H8R66. The condition of this point is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 2 5/8" x 1" x 1/2". The point was found in 1977.
