Featured in this lot is this Crawford Co., Wisconsin Table Rock cluster point, dated 4,000 -3,000 B.P. and from the Late Archaic period. This is a medium size point with a triangular stemmed point. The point shows a thick elliptical, plano-convex cross section with a blade excurvate and wide rounded notches. The shoulders are sloping upwards and horizontal. The point was napped from Mozarkite material. Mozarkite is a form of chert (flint) consisting essentially of silica with varying amounts of chalcedony. This point shows a Bennett's Artifact Authentication certificate; Bennett works with the Ancient artifact division of Premiere Auctions Group and has been involved in ancient Indian artifacts for over 25 years as a collector, dealer, and authenticator. The Bennett's Artifact Authentication Encoded Certificate Number is: 08H6R66. The condition of this point is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 3" x 1 1/4" x 1/2".
