Featured in this lot is this crescent WWII trench theater fighting knife, circa 1945. The knife features a beautiful crescent shaped WWII trench theater fighting knife construction with a polished blade, a half hilt in the front, and composite ring handle. This is a full tang fighting knife and shows a leather constructed case from harness leather and shaped to the blade. The condition of this blade is good, with a polished blade and slight patina to the handle of the blade; the sheath shows patina to the brass rivets, but otherwise the knife and sheath are in good overall condition. The measurements of the knife in sheath are 12" x 2 5/8" x 1 1/2" and the blade length is 6".
