Cripple Creek, Colorado, is a historic mining town located in the Rocky Mountains, about 45 miles west of Colorado Springs. It was the site of a major gold rush in the 1890s, which transformed it into one of the most productive gold mining districts in the U.S. At its peak, the town had a population of tens of thousands and was known for its wealth and vibrant activity. The condition of this Gold Miner scale is well preserved with some oxidation to the metal frame and the dish but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
