Featured in this lot is this collection of single spurs from Crockett and Crockett Renalde. There are three spurs in this collection. The first is a shop-made Crocket single spur marked with the maker’s mark on the spur frame, by the shank; the spur has a unique double crown five-star rowel with swivel spur strap buttons and a semi straight shank. The next is a heavy rasp-made Crockett Renalde steel spur with a crook shank with ten round tine spur rowels; the spur can be identified by the maker’s mark on the swivel spur strap button. The last spur is a Crockett Renalde single spur, identified by the maker’s mark on the underside of the swivel spur strap button, with a straight shank and a nine round star rowel. The condition of these single spurs is good, with slight oxidation and wear consistent with the age of the spurs. The measurements of these spurs are 1 1/2" x 4" x 5 1/2", 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 6", and 2" x 4 1/4" x 6 1/8".
