Featured in this lot is this pair of Crockett & Renalde (1887 - 1984) engraved spurs. These spurs are marked with CR within a horseshoe at the heel of the band, indicating Crockett & Renalde. The tooled, silver mountings show a floral design on each outer side of the spurs. The spurs show chap guards and a California style construction. Scar Crockett, born in 1887 in Pecos City, Texas, is considered one of the top three most recognized and collected spur makers of the last century. The condition of this pair of spurs is good, with oxidation and patina consistent with age and use. The measurements of these spurs are 5 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4".
