Featured in this lot are silver mounted spurs attributed to Crockett and unmarked, circa 1930's. The spurs show wonderfully and professionally constructed design consistent with Crockett spur. The spurs feature silver overlay that is a bit washed out and silver mounting that is in good overall condition; they also feature the five point rowel traditionally held consistent with Crockett standards and shows a chap guard to the rowel shank. In 1920, Crockett bought Shipley’s bit and spur making department and started the Crockett Bit and Spur Company. Crockett produced a wide array of styles and published catalogs to advertise them. If there was a popular style cowboys were looking for, Crockett made sure he could sell it to them. Since then, these pieces have become highly collectible. The condition of this spur pair is good, with some of the silver overlay eroded; the silver mounting is in good condition. The measurements of this pair of spurs are 6" x 4 7/8" x 1 3/4".
