Featured in this lot is this Crow Apsaalooke beaded lady bug umbilical cord circa 1930's. The beaded umbilical cord features wonderfully and masterfully crafted hide construction that features an expertly beaded face with trade seed beads that show coloration of medium red and black. The top of the umbilical cord features a tassel with decorations of dark blue padre beads and chevron trade beads that ends in a jingle cone. These were said to be filled with the umbilical cord of the newly born and worn around their neck. The condition of this umbilical cord fetish is good with some discoloration to the hide due to age but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this umbilical cord fetish is 3 1/8" x 3" x 1 3/4".
