Featured in this lot is this Crow Indian beaded flat bag from the renowned Otto Ernst catalog, circa 1890-1910. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with period correct glass trade seed beaded geometric pattern. The piece was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming by Ted Byers. Otto Ernst was a renowned saddle maker who was known to purchase American Indian pieces and offer them at his shop and in his catalog. The condition of this flat bag is good; the bag has a patina shown on the hide itself. The measurements of this beaded flat bag are 5" x 3 1/4".
