Available for public purchase is this fine exquisitely fully beaded tobacco pouch from the Crow Native American Indians of Montana and dating to the 19th Century. This 1800's beaded pouch shows a wonderful linear geometric pattern beaded in period correct glass trade seed beads of cobalt blue, medium green, semi-transparent red, sky padre blue, semi-transparent greasy yellow, faceted metal, and red white hearts. The bag shows an Indian tanned Great American Bison Buffalo hide construction having a fine fancy beaded edge. The top of the bag still exhibits the original Indian tanned hide tie, which is a rare and welcomed addition. The bag shows trade thread sewing and a wonderful rich patina. Measures overall 3.75”L with an additional 4”L fringe by 3"W. Provenance: From a Manheim, Pennsylvania collection.
