The lot features a fully beaded awl case and antler bone awl from the Crow Native American Indians of Montana. This 20th Century awl case shows all glass trade seed beads in a linear geometric pattern. The beadwork includes such wonderful opaque and translucent colors as chalk white, corn yellow, red, cobalt, and sky padre blue. A total of six rolled tin jingle cones accent the fringe at the base of the case with the original Indian tanned hide strap at the top. The case has a removable lid which allows the user access to the carved deer antler bone awl device. The exact age of the case is unknown, but it shows an early style of construction. Measures overall 17"L with the fringe and strap. The case itself measures 5.5"L x 1.5"W.
