The lot features a nice large mirror or signal mirror flat bag from the Crow Native American Indians of Montana, dating to the 20th Century. The bag shows a tanned hide and trade cloth construction with thick liner showing a wonderful glass trade seed bead geometric beadwork pattern. The bag shows a large diamond opening at the front framed in expertly done beadwork, which extends across the top opening and across the entire back side. The bead colors show a light blue background with diamond pattern in red, orange, and semi-transparent green. The inside of the bag has a pink trade cloth. The bottom of the bag shows integral thick cut hide fringes, and the top has a hide strap. The bag itself has a wonderful hourglass-like shape and is well preserved. Measures overall 20.5" L by 7" W.
