This lot features a custom 8mm Spanish Mauser sporting rifle. This great post WWII sporting rifle is in 8mm Mauser or 7.92x57, and made by Fabrica De Armas La Coruna. The maker's mark on top of the receiver is from the LaCorona Arsenals. This rifle has been modified from its original militarized form. It boasts a sleek staight grain walnut sportorized stock with hard rubber butt pad. The stock has a checkered pistol grip and fore grip. The rifle sports a 25" round blue'd barrel with adjustable rear sight and fixed front sight. The bolt is in good working condition and shows a high polished nickel finish. The stock also shows use of wood filler in areas around the barrel and magazine floor plate. The receiver, bolt handle and magazine plate all show matching serial number: B4456.
