This is an original work of art serigraph of Man on the Cloud by Bruce VanLandingham. The piece is hand signed and titled in graphite. Man on the Cloud (1780-1862) was a member of the Mdewakanton Dakota Santee Sioux and was born around 1780 in a village eight miles from Mendota, Minnesota. This is an original serigraph piece by Bruce of Man on the Cloud and was made in the old handmade process of silkscreen printing and is the closest to what an original would be represented as. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman which was both part museum and gallery. This excellent piece shows wonderful quality and detail. The frame measures 25 1/2" by 33 1/2". The artwork shows 12 1/4" by 17".
