Featured in this lot are two two cars from 1994 & 2001 made by The Danbury Mint and Hallmark Kiddie Car Classics. The first car in this lot is the 1948 Chrysler Town & Country made by the Danbury Mint in 1994. Ralph Glendinning and Ted Stanley built the Danbury Mint in Westport, Connecticut, in 1969. Over the years, the company has expanded its product line to include figurines, collection plates, dolls, and die-cast cars. Notably, they created 1:24 size die-cast vehicles, including versions of James Bond's Aston Martin DB5. Today, the Danbury Mint continues to promote a wide selection of treasures, including commemorative coins, jewelry, sports memorabilia, and Christmas ornaments, to a diverse range of enthusiasts. The car features a working steering wheel and the hood can be opened revealing the engine. The trunk is also accessible and shows a spare tire. It is marked on the bottom reading, "1948 Chrysler Town & Country / The Danbury Mint ©MBI 1994". The second toy car is a limited edition 1935 Duesenberg made by Hallmark in their Kiddie Car Classic Line. The Hallmark Kiddie Car Classics series, which debuted in the early 1990s, includes die-cast metal replicas of antique pedal cars known for their meticulous workmanship and craftsmanship. One of these valuables is the 1935 Duesenberg Luxury Limited Edition. The 1935 Duesenberg model was the fourth chapter in the Kiddie Car Classics series. This limited edition item exemplifies the elegance and luxury associated with the classic Duesenberg automobiles from the 1930s. It features a working steering wheel and the trunk can open up revealing two slots for AAA batteries. The car works slightly with the batteries installed, as the back lights work, the headlights work and the steering wheel can be pushed to trigger a horn sound. Two buttons are seen on the dashboard, a red and green button. When in its full working power, the car will move on its own, but the movement mechanics are not working. This car is a numbered limited edition being number 8,148 of 14,500. Both cars show good condition overall with slight wear present from their use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The Duesenberg measures 9 1/4" L x 4" W x 4 1/2" H, while the Chrysler measures 9" L x 3 1/4" W x 2 5/8" H. They have a collective weight of 4 pounds and 2 ounces.
