Offered in this lot is an amazing print of a David Stoecklein photograph, "Mother and Child". The photo shows a mother longhorn cow looking straight at you, giving you the "stink-eye”. The mother and calf are standing in tall golden grass in the summer sun. David R. Stoecklein has worked closely with ranchers and cowboys from every Western state. Through his work, he has gained a deep understanding of and respect for cowboys. His quest to keep the spirit of the West alive is heartfelt and uncompromising. David spends every free moment photographing cowboys and all elements of their lives, preserving their heritage and traditions. “It is my goal to document the West for generations to come,” David Stoecklein once said. “Maybe, just maybe, my photography can help slow down the destruction of this magnificent place. My hope is that folks who don’t understand the Western lifestyle will come to respect it, embrace it, and help preserve it.” The print is professionally matted and framed in a wood, showing character from worm damage to the tree when it was alive. This piece is in excellent condition. The visible art shows 28" X 16" and the frame measures 42 1/2" X 30 3/4".
