Featured in this lot is this Dayton Style No. 140 computing scale, circa 1890-1900. The computing scale shows a light blue painted steel construction with decorative borders and an etching that reads, “The Computing Scale Co. Dayton, Ohio - U.S.A.” The scale has serial no. 238184 and is decorated with gold and red painted Dayton and Gold Medal decorations on the back of the scale. The condition of this scale is fair, with wear consistent with the age of the scale. The scale works when hooked up, but it is missing the glass. The measurements of this computing scale are 31 1/2" x 17" x 21".
