For your consideration is a Deluxe Winchester Model 1894 chambered in .30 WCF (.30-30 Win) caliber, serial number 319195, made in 1906. The rifle is in the rare special order deluxe showing the higher grade wood with checkering and formed grip having the Winchester medalion at the end. This is the classic, early Model 1894 Lever Action that was popular with the Klondike gold seekers, Texas Rangers, cowboys, ranchers, big game hunters and Mexican Revolutionaries. One of the best of the Jonathan Browning designs; this model is still respected and used today. This fine 113 year old example still retains good blue on the 26" octagonal barrel and magazine tube at 70-80%+. It has the original dovetailed front sight and upgraded Redfield rear sight from the factory. The receiver still retains some nice original blue and has a tight action, lock-up and strong springs. The bore is bright with good rifling all the way through. The butt stock has a chip on the bottom and the forearm shows checkering and normal handling. The rifle is equipped with a checkered round pistol grip. The barrel shows correct, clear Winchester address markings and patent dates. The upper tang also has correct “MODEL 1894” over “Winchester”. Serial Number: 319195. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. These original Deluxe rifle's are increasingly rare and desirable.
