This is an excellent handwoven, flat weave rug by master weaver Ali Bautista. This rug was made using Angora Wool blend yarns in a beautiful Diamond Eye Dazzler pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using Angora Wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, handwoven weave is displayed with bright rich tones in the fine Promontory pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Ali Bautista. The rug shows a phenomenal Navajo style Diamond Eye Dazzler, "Walk in Beauty" pattern with multi-banded ends, showing colors of black, pumpkin orange, forest green, and beige. The rug has wonderful lightening medallions throughout and is symmetrical on both sides. The rug also shows two crosses centered on either side of the middle lightening medallion and has unique coloration, changing from pumpkin orange to maroon to red. All four corners of the rug have braided black and white tassels. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 4’ by 6’ 6” (4 foot by 6 foot 6 inches). This is a brand-new rug.
