This is a RARE first edition of "Discovery of the Yosemite and the Indian War of 1851" written by Lafayette Houghton Bunnell and published in 1880. The book provides an historical account of how Yosemite was discovered in the mid 1800's by the author, who was a member of the 36th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteers. The book has a beautifully embossed and gilt decorated cover with numerous illustrations and maps throughout. The book is in very good condition. It measures 5.5" x 7.75".
