Few collectibles have the ability to elicit smiles from both adults and chidren alike as do Walt Disney animated cartoon characters. Scrooge McDuck, created by Carl Banks, as a Scottish-American, curmudgeonly anthropomorphic Pekin duck who decides to test Donald and his nephews to see if they are worthy of inheriting his wealth. Was first introduced to the world in 1947 in a story called "Christmas on Bear Mountain" which appeared in the December 1947 issue of Dell Comics "Four Colour Comics #178". McDuck was initially characterized as a greedy miser and antihero (as Charles Dickens' original Scrooge was), but in later appearances he has often been portrayed as a thrifty hero, adventurer and explorer; created as an antagonist for Donald Duck,
