Offered in this lot is a framed display case of egg shells fossil fragments from the extinct Elephant Bird. The ancient fossil fragments originate from Madagascar. The fragments are framed with nine pictures of the bird and elephant bird skeleton. The elephant bird, or Aepyornis Maximus, lived in pre-historic ancient times. The fragments were found south of Madagascar. The overall condition of the four pieces is good for their ages. The framed case has some minor damage and separation at the corner. This measures 21 1/2" wide by 17 1/4" tall by 2 1/4" deep.
