Featured in this lot is this Chilmark U.S. and Dixie Flag pewter desk ornament from sculptor Don Pollard born in 1924 and died in 1994. The desk ornament is wonderfully and professionally crafted pewter, wooden, and linen construction that shows a sculpture with a U.S. flag and the Stars and Bars on the other side with cross rifles and cross swords with a spread eagle above a brass plaque that reads as follows: Chilmark. The desk ornament shows flag placements that holds two small U.S flags, with a Dixie Flag on the other side. The back of the sculpture is marked as follows: Fine Pewter - U.S.A. - 1987 - (with Don Polland hallmark). The condition of this pewter sculpture and desk ornament is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this pewter desk ornament is 11 1/4" x 6" x 2". The collective weight of this desk ornament is 6oz.
