Featured in this lot is a collection of two (2) fine pewter horse sculptures by renowned sculptor Don Polland. The first is a limited edition piece titled "Stallion" and was made in 1985. Behind the horse on the bottom of the sculpture it is signed and dated by the sculptor Don Polland "©Polland 1985". Next to the horse it is numbered "48/2,500" showing that it is a limited edition piece. On top of the solid wood base it is signed and dated again, "Don Polland 12-13-87". The bottom of the base features the title, the sculptors signature, the copy right date "1985", and the presenter "Chilmark Fine Pewter U.S.A.". It measures 6" L x 4" W x 4 1/4" H. The second sculpture is a untitled and features a horse mid stomp. The piece is signed and dated "©Polland '84" as well as numbered "532/1,500" showing it is a limited edition piece. On top of the solid wood base, there is another sculptor's signature reading "Don Polland 12-13-87". This sculpture measures 5" L x 4" W x 4 1/4" H. These pieces show fine detail and great craftsmanship. Overall they are in good condition with no signs of damage. The collective weight of these pewter sculptures is 2lb 4oz.
