For your consideration is this limited edition print originally done by Donna Gates in 1993. Donna earned her Master of Medical Art degree from the University of Illinois Medical Center in 1980. Donna, a staff illustrator at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, fell in love with Denali on her first trip to Alaska. She settled here and started her fine painting career. This piece shows a man bundled in snow gear as he sits close to his sled dogs in the snow. A large mountain can be seen in the background as the man and his dogs watch a large heard of elk or deer walk through the valley. It is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading, "D. Gates 320/750 / © D.Gates 1993". The print has been doubled matted with white and light blue matting paper and is set in a blue colored wood frame. The artwork measures 27 5/8" L x 20 1/2" W, while the entire piece measures 36 3/8" L x 29 3/8" W x 2 1/8" D. It weighs 12 pounds and 8 ounces.
