Featured in this lot is this original dovetail St. Charles point from the Early Archaic Period and aged from B.P. 10,000 - 8,000. The point was originally from Central Kentucky. The point shows a medium corner notched point with an elliptical cross section. The blade shows an excurvate example with a serrated blade. The shoulders are barbed and feature an expanding stem. The point was knapped from a speckled dark brown and maroonish red chert material. The condition of this point is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/4". Provenance: This point came from the private collection of G. Noel and later from Tom Fuller.
