Featured in this lot is a Dutch Beaumont model 71/88 bolt action rifle. The M1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali is a magazine conversion of the Beaumont model 1871 single shot rifle using the Vitali magazine system in 1888. The rifle features a hard wood stock, straight pull bolt, adjustable rear sight, and 32" long barrel chambered in 11mm. The rifle is marked across the side of the barrel, "1883 4920", with the top of the butt plate marked "1891 4920". The stock is stamped "Delft W 1884" with a crown design. The rifle displays numerous inspection stamps across the barrel and receiver. The rifle shows good condition overall, with a smooth action, a bright bore, and strong rifling. The rifle does show some light handling marks to the wooden stock and some warm patina on the barrel and receiver. Serial Number: 887C. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
