The lot features a beautiful French Henry II carved oak circa early-19th century two-tier writing desk. The old European piece exhibits deep oak with highly figured grain having spoon carved flourishes and high relief leaf solid wood carvings on each door panel. The piece shows a two-tier design, in three pieces including the intricate panel with turned wood and carved top piece, top tier with drawers and nook and the bottom desk. The piece has the original drawer pulls, lock and key and beautiful turned wood legs. Excellent piece collected in Europe many years ago. Measures 52.75-inches by 55-inches by 29-inches.
