Offered in this lot is a early 1900's hand made wooden boomerang. On the front of his boomerang is etched, a Koala Bear, a Emu, a Kookaburra Bird and in the center is a Kangaroo holding both the Australian and New Zealand (red) flag. On the backside of the boomerang in the center is a Maori with a spear. the Maori is painted in red on green grass. The animals on the front have red accents and the flags were done in full color. The "red" New Zealand flag is often used by the Maori people rather than the blue New Zealand flag. The Boomerang measures 27" long with a 22" spread. This boomerang shows a fair amount of wear and damage.
