For your consideration is this Hamilton Mfg Co. type-set box from the early 1900's. This box is of solid oak construction and is made by Hamilton Mfg Co. and has the brass badge, saying Made in the U.S.A and Wood Good Steel, centered at the bottom of the type-set box. The company was known for its product line to include type cabinets and other furniture useful in the press room, then to furniture for dental and medical offices and labs, drafting tables and furnishings. This appears to be a custom piece. There are 84 slots 42 big slots, 42 small slots. There is a slanted board behind some of the slots changing the depth of that slot. The measurements of this slot box are 20 1/2" x 16 1/2" x 9 1/4".
