Offered in this lot are four wanted posters/cards from 1911-1915. These notices are un-matted in simple frames that highlight the notices. The first is of Ernest Williams, “Wanted for Horse Stealing”. This card was issued by Sheriff Ben J. Brown from Vale, Oregon on September 3, 1915. The next notice was issued for Jack McDonald with a $50 reward; Jack was reported as "insane at times for three years". This notice was issued by Sheriff John Berkin of Silver Bow County, Butte Montana on October 21, 1914. The next notice is an inventory of items stolen from M.W. Trask's Hardware store in Deer Lodge on March 10, 1912; the piece states, "arrest any person having any of the above articles and wire J. E. Neville Sheriff of Powell County, Deer Lodge, Montana." Considering the items stolen were 327 different kinds of knives and 37 different brands of razors, this could have included many people. The last notice is for a $25.00 reward for the arrest of A.E. Robinson for forgery; this notice was issued by the Sheriff, O.C. Gosman, of Dillon, Montana on July 10 1911. These notices vary in size, but are all in frames measuring 10 1/4" X 8 1/4".
