Available for your bidding pleasure we have this Early 1900's Original Fireman's Hat. This hat was manufactured by Cairns & Bro. from Clifton, New Jersey. This American made piece of history shows a black classic hardhat construction with a leather insignia to the front of this hat displaying "OFD". The front holder on this hat is of brass construction and displays excellent design. Painted on the back of the brim is "5" referring to station no. 5. This hat was used in a fire department in Minnesota in the early 1960's. The hat is a size 7 1/2 and overall measures 14 1/2" long by 12" wide.
