Included in this lot we have a salt glazed whiskey stoneware pottery jug originating from the early 1900's. The jar displays thick pottery construction with a carry loop across the top. The top of the jar shows a short round throat and is missing its cork stopper. The jar is colored with a dark brown across the top with a salt glaze protective coating across the exterior. The jug is unmarked and free of maker’s marks. The piece shows good condition overall, with some light wear across the jug and a chip across the top. The jar measures 14" tall by 9" in diameter.
