For your consideration is this early 20th Century African hand carved wood statue. The figure appears to be of a male; it has a large head with exaggerated facial features and small wood pegs for hair (a number of which are missing--see photos). There is a hole on the statue's right rear side through which a rod may have passed to help display the figure upright. The figure does not stand upright on its own. Tribe and type of wood are unknown. Measures about 20" tall and 9" wide. Condition is good, except as noted above.
