The lot features an excellent gun store mercantile trade sign of a large oversized double barrel shotgun. This sign was used as a trade stimulator and would hang outside the store to attract customers and act as an advertising sign. The piece shows a wooden stock, trigger, trigger guard, and hammers. The barrels show metal construction and are painted with a bronze finish. The trade sign has a massive size and is in fair condition overall, with some damage to the stock and wear across the piece. The piece dates to circa 1890-1900’s. The sign measures 85" long by 8 1/2" at the widest.
