Featured in this lot are 64 assorted and rare tokens from across the USA, mostly streetcar & interurban railway tokens. Locales include Anchorage, Seattle, Bremerton-Charleston, Bellingham, Yakima, Spokane, Portland Oregon, San Jose, San Francisco including the Market Street Railway, Sacramento, Denver Tramway, Boulder, ULATCO Salt Lake, Ogden, Missoula Street Railway, Great Falls Street Railway, Billings, Butte, Minneapolis Street Railway, St. Paul City Railway, Dallas Railway & Terminal, Jackson City Lines, Mobile City Lines, A.B. & W. Transit, DC Capital Transit, NYC Transit Authority pre and post 1970, Metropolitan Transit Boston, United Transit Rhode Island. Also included are a Utah Emergency Relief Fund Sales Tax token and a WW2 US Navy fare token. The majority of these tokens were most likely manufactured by The Scovill Manufacturing Company of Waterbury, Connecticut; the similarities of production between the tokens are uniform including the graphics. These tokens are small reminders of a bygone era of transportation for most everywhere in the country save a few, notable being in San Francisco. Most tokens are the size of a US dime, a couple are nickel size and a couple are quarter size. Tokens are in good condition, some fading noted is consistent with age and use, no marring noted.
Also included in this lot is a spring-loaded coin dispenser manufactured by Green Duck Stamping Company of Chicago, inscription on the barrel, Miner's Savings Bank and Trust Co., Butte, Montana dating 1907-1935.
